Similarly, though headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, the principals of Healthplex have been involved with more than 2.5 billion dollars of healthcare construction project management and currently manage more than 1.5 million square feet of medical buildings for hospitals and health systems, many of which are located in the northeast part of the state. Although the two companies have worked on a collaborative basis for more than a year, they will now market their collaborative services under the Signet Healthplex, LLC name. According to Anthony S. Summa Health System sought a team to develop a cancer treatment center with significant physician support and very aggressive lease terms and rates. Signet’s capital formation skills, coupled with Healthplex’s physician alignment philosophy, result in a true collaborative effort between the physicians and the hospital for the creation of a 74,000-square-foot state-of-the-art cancer center. The facility is expected to be complete in 2007. Signet Healthplex also was recently hired by Berger Health System to develop a 30,000-square-foot ambulatory center located in Central Ohio. The Signet Healthplex team has structured an ownership model that will include physicians who are tenants in the building in order to create a significant alignment with Berger Health System. This project will commence this fall.
